PHP 4, PHP 5, PHP 7 and PHP 8 Support in Shared Hosting
With our Linux shared hosting services, you’ll be able to choose the PHP version that will be enabled for your hosting account, since several versions are available on our servers. With only one click of the mouse, you’ll be able to switch between PHP 4, 5, 7 and each time a new version is released in the future, we will include it in the Hepsia hosting Control Panel without removing the earlier versions. In this way, you will be able to host all the sites that you have set up throughout the years. In contrast with a lot of other web hosting vendors, we won’t compel you to update such sites, because a script may be out of date, but this doesn’t mean that it’s insecure as you may have implemented modifications to its source code to fill safety holes. For the sake of your convenience, you’ll even be able to select a different version of PHP for each single site that you host in your shared account.
PHP 4, PHP 5, PHP 7 and PHP 8 Support in Semi-dedicated Hosting
Even if your sites were built with an earlier PHP version, you’ll be able to host them in a semi-dedicated server account from us, since we support different versions running simultaneously on our servers and each one of them can be enabled for your account with just a click of the mouse through our in-house built Hepsia Control Panel. Other than the newest PHP 8, we also support 5.2, 5.3, 5.4, 5.5, 5.6, 7.0, 7.1, 7.2, 7.3, 7.4 and the older PHP 4, which has already been abandoned by most hosting vendors, but we strongly hold that you shouldn’t be compelled to modify a website that took years to develop, as older programming language syntax does not always equal safety breaches. On the contrary, an adequately maintained site using PHP 4 can be more secure than a non-maintained one using PHP 5. For your convenience’s sake, we’ll also provide you with the opportunity to pick a different version of PHP for each single website within the account.
